Step 1 — Start clean Clone the repo into a disposable environment with no prior context. Follow the README exactly, step by step. Step 2 — Record the first gap When a step fails or assumes knowledge that is not written down, record exactly what was missing. Step 3 — Fix the docs Ask the AI to rewrite the README so a newcomer would not hit that gap. Apply the fix. Step 4 — Start over Throw away the environment and run the whole thing again. Repeat until a clean clone reaches the working state using only the README.
