Refactor Until the Architecture Feels Right
Coding
A bounded refactor loop with live-testing, self-review, and a commit after every meaningful step. Inspired by Forward Future's Loop Library.
Prompt
Step 1 — Name the destination Describe the current structure and the specific architecture you want to reach. Ask the AI for the smallest sequence of safe refactor steps to get there. Step 2 — Take one step Apply a single refactor step. Keep the change small enough to reason about and reversible. Step 3 — Live-test and review Run the tests, then paste the diff and ask the AI to review it as a senior engineer would. Fix anything that does not hold up, then commit. Step 4 — Repeat or stop Continue only while each step measurably improves the structure. Stop once the architecture matches the destination or another pass adds no value.
